We prepare Danish business for the producer responsibility on packaging!

VANA is a producer responsibility organisation (PRO) for companies who will be covered by the producer responsibility on packaging. We take on the practical, financial and legal responsibility for the producer responsibility on behalf of our members.

Our vision

VANA is the preferred PRO for the extended producer responsibility in Denmark.

Our mission

VANA contributes to the circular economy by lifting its members' producer responsibility in an environmentally sound, administratively simple and cost-effective manner.
Together we give new life to used packaging!

VANA is founded for the business community by the business community

VANA A/S is founded and owned by Denmark's largest trade and business organisations whose members count approx. 80% of the companies, which are covered by the producer responsibility on packaging, and cover all industries.

Dansk Industri (the Confederation of Danish Industry), Landbrug & Fødevarer (the Danish Agriculture & Food Council), Dansk Erhverv (the Danish Chamber of Commerce) and DagSam (The Grocery Industry’s Cooperation Committee) founded VANA in 2021 to help Danish companies take responsibility for the extended producer responsibility in an environmentally correct, administratively simple and cost-effective manner.

About the name VANA

VANA derives from the word Vanaheim - the one of the nine worlds known from Norse mythology, which, it is said, exists after Ragnarok and to which the Aesir return.

In the same way, VANA works to ensure that our world will continue to exist: We promote environmentally friendly packaging by keeping resources in circulation for as long as possible.
